AUDITIONS FOR ANNUAL ZION MUSIC AWARDS PRESENTERS

UBZ is looking for 2 individuals (Male and Female) who will be presenters on the night of the AZMA 2013 in October 19th.

To qualify for auditions you must possess some of these QUALITIES;
1. Vibey and be an entertainer
2. Belong in a Zion church/ministry
3. Ages between 20 and 35 years
4. Very informative n knowledgeable in music generally
5. Be very knowledgeable on Zion music, groups, artists and other role players
6. Have at least 3 proper/fitting outfits for the night including church clothes.
7. Fluent in English and at least 2 other South African Languages (IsiZulu, IsiXhosa, Tswana, etc)
8. Good communications and presentation skills
9. Good sense of humour

Those who qualify for auditions will be called to arrange for the dates between June and July 2013. Auditions open to everyone in the Country and outside as long as you are a member of a Zion church.

5TH UBZ CHOIR COMPETITION REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

The most popular and anticipated national Zion Choir Competition is back by popular demand, the 5th UBZ Choir Competition. This year for the first time it will be hosted outside of the Gauteng province, Newcastle in Kwa-Zulu Natal is the chosen destination for this prestigious event.

1. A full album recording and DVD shooting with Indoni Productions worth R15 800.
2. Trophies, medals and certificates for runners up.

• GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Registration is open to all Zion groups singing Zion acapella music.
2. Choirs can only register during the stipulated time and via SMS to 34342.
3. The final 20 choirs will be chosen through the voting system. Only choirs with many votes will make it to the final 20 choirs
4. Winning prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. Judges decision is final and cannot be disputed under any circumstances.

Ubuhle Buka Zioni and World Gospel Power House proudly brings you the 1st Annual Zion Music Awards (AZMA 2013). The Annual Zion Music Awards is an event that seeks to celebrate and promote Zion music and award the groups and individuals that are contributing towards the growth of this genre while celebrating the diversity in the music.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER

• Entries are open to all Zion recording groups (church choirs, community choirs, mix and/or one gender choirs), producers, recording companies, video directors and composers. 

•  Groups from outside the borders of South Africa are also welcome to participate in the AZMAs.

•  Zion soloists are also welcome to enter the AZMAs

•  Member/s of a group/solo artist must belong in a particular Zion church

• AZMAs are for only Zion Acapella Music, no instrumental works will be accepted.

•  For this first installment of the awards we are looking at all works that was released from the January 2011.
