On the 1st of March 2013 the Zion community witnessed history in the making when the first ever Zion Music Awards were launched at Jodema Estate in Midrand. This black tie affair was attended by the Zion community, media, partners and various stakeholders all to witness this new ground breaking project.
AZMAs short for Annual Zion Music Awards aim to recognize and acknowledge all those who play a role in improving and growing the standard of Zion music. Also to help formalize the industry and allow it to bring opportunities to those that are involved in it.
The event provided a platform for people to ask questions and make suggestions for the good of the project. Categories where announced which received approval from many who where there.
It was truly an amazing evening for Zion and a promise for a brighter future for the music.
